Hp Laserjet 4100 Manual
Turn the printer off, and then turn the printer on. 3. Then it started it's routine of a restart and then counting up to 64MB and then restarting. Send a multi-page job to Tray 2 and your Laserjet 4100 will work like a new printer again. When first turned on, it runs memory check and then displays two lines of *****, after which the 55.00 error message comes on. have a peek here
This is a very useful forum! chris by chris on Sep 2, 2004 at 11:54am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Hi Moe, Thanks for your help, what do you mean by 'binding'? If the message persists with different software applications and print jobs, disconnect all cables to the printer that connect it to the network or printer. 5. I replaced a number of rollers only to have the same problem re-occur with no solution in sight.I recently found this web posting and tried the method described above in an http://h20565.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/public/psi/troubleshootResults/?sp4ts.oid=83436

I was having the same problem and probably wouldn't have figured it out otherwise. We have several 4050's and I heard the motor starting up when I turn it on. by schmidtmj1 on Nov 30, 2005 at 1:36pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 It is the engine control board. You are now looking at the feed paper module.
If you do and I suspect you will, about the only other thing you can do without changing parts is to trace the cable which runs from the formatter interace on Hp Laserjet 4100 Driver by unknown on Jun 9, 2006 at 12:28pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 3 When my HP 4100 runs out of paper in one tray it automatically starts pulling I have replaced the rollers; however, this has not fixed the issue. Not sure if it is the engine, the engine board, or anything other problem.

Here you just need to remove the 4 screws that hold the tray 2 paper-feed plate. If it is a remanufactured one, some cheap companies don't replace that chip with a cloned version. I don't know how the pulled sealing strip is sensed either or how the contacts function.

CAN U ADVISE ON WHAT I CAN DO NEXT.
It's spring loaded. http://technewsonline.net/hp-laserjet/hp-laserjet-1320-manual.html Now simply scrape the adhesive away and use a bit of adhesive remover to remove any residue and make sure the strike-plate and L-arm are clean. Do I shotgun it and start ordering parts and replacing parts (flash, formater, engine pcb) not knowing if those parts will fix it or do I just go to Ebay where I can by startrek133 on Nov 10, 2009 at 6:52am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Your responses are confusing, but from what i gather you have replaced the tray 2
If I broke the solenoid (I'm kinda convinced that I did), would I be seeing the problem? First off I see you may have a network card installed. If having more than one computer sending and using a network card in the printer, then the printer handles the jobs coming in and will always complete one job before starting Check This Out If it sees zero page count, then it checks the ac bias through the 2 contacts.
Now try again and see if the message still comes back. I can't get it to respond at all - does not print, either. The thing to do is remove the jet direct card and put the formatter back into the printer (do so with the power off).

Still no display. You can check the connections, but since your issue is intermittent I would think the connections are fine since it seems to always work after being off for 20 minutes which If you hear the motor turn, have paper in the lower tray and there is a little hole on the left side by the fan grill which you can use a I'll try to order it in our company.
The printer now works~~~~~~ thank you sooooo much! Even pictures would help. I have checked the wire contacts as "Trev Pearson" mentioned and they are making contact just fine. http://technewsonline.net/hp-laserjet/hp-laserjet-4050-manual.html I have done all the simple troubleshooting, I know how to add a printer, everything can see the network.
do i have to take out the main gearing assembly to get to it ? If you remove the formatter and turn it on is there any motor noise. Stuck in another one and it was fixed. I was able to get my hands on a 4100n, and swap out some stuff.
We disassembled the entire tray 2 assemblyand completely cleaned the solenoid and it worked! If it does not try to isolate what programs or documents consistently cause the issue. Any thoughts?thank you by wmginc on Mar 11, 2009 at 8:02pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Disconnect it from the computer. The 3rd green light is solid. Also, as a heads up.
